Borgstrom Disc Golf

The disc golf course and nature trails are located west of Main Street in Borgstrom Park. You need your own discs or you can purchase them from the Upsala Farm Store on Main Street.

Cedar Lake Campground

The park offers the region's finest outdoor family recreation, with 66 campsites outlined by a magnificent day use park. A swimming beach, encompassing over 600' of grass shoreline with ample sun and shaded areas. The beach has a magnificent descending sand lake floor. The day use area also includes basketball and volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, picnic tables and barbecue grills. Paddle boats or canoes that come with life preservers are for rent by the hour or day and are located next to the boat launch. The Upsala American Legion Post 350 owns and operates Cedar Lake Campground, located 3 miles West of Upsala. Please call (320) 573-2983 for reservations!

Upsala Area Schools

Our small community boasts an amazing K-12 school program. This includes a fantastic facility with spacious classrooms, a large gymnasium and 300 seat auditorium. It is the mission of Upsala Area Schools to provide a meaningful curriculum within a positive school climate.

Come visit our Upsala City Park, lush and green. There is a beautiful new swing set for the youth, a brand new bathroom facilities, a pavilion, softball field, and picnic tables. Come out and enjoy the small town feel, relaxing atmosphere and the beautiful green grass. If you would like to reserve the park for a party, reunion, birthday party, please contact City Clerk to reserve (320) 573-4950.

The Upsala Public Library is a branch of the Great River Regional Library System. Located on Main Street. Free Wi-Fi is available for use. Come check out books, magazines, movies, use our computers, come relax, enjoy our many programs offered and home of the Friends of the Upsala Library.

In the summer of 2022 the Legion started construction of a timber frame pentagon shaped building to be used as a museum. It will be completed by soon. This project was also built by mostly volunteer labor. An update on the sale of granite pavers is at 231. Remember the primary fund raiser for this memorial is the sale of pavers. Applications are available at the site, businesses in town , and on line. Veterans from any era or location are eligible. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. The Museum will be open each day at 8:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM. (Summer hours) Please come and visit/view the Memorial at your convenience.
